The average adult spends 50 to 70 percent of their time sitting. We sit in school, at work, and when we come home we sit down on the couch or a comfy chair for relaxation. Research shows it is much healthier to stand more during the day. I want to motivate people to stand more while working.
 It has been shown that our focus on the task we’re doing and our concentration and productivity increases when we work standing up. Besides the mental advantages it’s also much healthier for our bodies. It decreases the chance of several diseases, and neck, shoulder, and back problems will disappear. I designed a desk that allows people to work standing up. Obviously, not everyone wants to or can stand for eight hours straight, so I’ve designed a stool to lean or sit on while retaining an active and healthy posture.
